Other pedagogical activities

§ Co-mentored four students (undergraduate to graduate students) in various Jet Propulsion Laboratory Summer Internship programs, in summer 2015.

§ Co-mentored a Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) Physics student at Howard University, in summer 2014

§ 4-week Weather and Water Summer school at CIMH – a summer program focused on increasing the awareness of the Earth Sciences in young persons in the Caribbean. The course involved introducing the discipline, some theory and many practical sessions illustrating the applicability of the disciplines in the Caribbean region. The course started in Summer 2007 and has an average enrollment of 10 -12 students.            

§ Guest lectured various topics in Meteorology and Climatology following the Caribbean Council Examination (CXC) syllabi at various secondary schools in Barbados.

 Curricular materials

§ Shared the responsibility of revamping the Climate Change and Policy course offered at Howard University. 

§ Shared the responsibility of developing new courses and altering existing courses in the Meteorology undergraduate program offered at UWI.

§ Developed, with another colleague, a syllabus and materials (including a handbook) for the summer course aimed at secondary-school students (older than 15 years) and trainers alike.
